Office for Civil Rights Recognizes World Mental Health Day

Today, in recognition of World Mental Health Day observed on Sunday, October 10, the Office for Civil Rights released a Dear Educator Letter reminding schools, elementary through postsecondary, of their obligations regarding students with mental health disabilities, especially those at risk of self-harm.

ATIXA, along with our sister association, the National Association of Behavior Intervention and Threat Assessment (NABITA), joins OCR in educating, supporting, and protecting the rights of students at risk for self-harm or suicide.
